  1. Dear Friends of Kersal Dale,

My name is Josie Cohen and I’m contacting you on behalf of the Pesticide Action Network (PAN UK) – the only UK organisation working solely to reduce the human health and environmental impacts of pesticides.

I am writing to let you know that PAN UK will be holding a meeting/workshop in Manchester on Saturday 25th November. The purpose of the day is to explore how we can reduce pesticide use in public spaces (including parks) in Manchester and surrounding areas, and how to build public support for such an initiative.

PAN UK has been running a Pesticide Free Towns campaign (more info here http://www.pan-uk.org/pesticide-free/) for the past two years and has seen success in a range of places across the UK including Brighton, Lewes, Glastonbury, Hammersmith & Fulham and Edinburgh which have all gone, or are in the process of going, pesticide free. We have also helped to establish and support campaigns in a number of other towns and cities and would like to do the same in Manchester and surrounding areas.

Any help you can give us in this endeavour would be hugely appreciated. In particular, if you are able to share the details of the event via your networks that would be great.

The event is free to attend and runs from 13:00 – 16:00 on 25th November. To reserve a free ticket(s) please go to https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/pesticide-free-manchester-public-meeting-tickets-39218700188

Please feel free to email or call me on 07956 250 260 if you would like any further information.

    Kind regards,

    Josie
